Wheeler-dealing Trump?

RRoy’siPadWheeler-dealing Trump?
Ronald Roy — Aug.11, 2016

Until I read the recent commentary of the eminent William J. Bennet about Donald Trump, I had always cringed at the thought that Filipino politicians were the most undistinguished and seediest in the world, in particular reference to how ravenously they are driven by power and money. Well, are American politicians just as driven out there in the so-called land of the free? Indeed, no people are free if they are shackled by the power and money of the few!

Bennet, the host of Bill Bennet’s Morning in America Show, is one of America’s most important, influential, and respected voices on cultural, political, and education issues. He has one of the strongest Christian world views (among writers) in modern times. But first, a little background.

“Meeting” the Trumps
Over the past two months, I have received an average of two e-mails per week, each one soliciting a cash donation to the campaign kitty of GOP presidential wannabe Donald Trump. An impressive PR tact, I would say, since all their salutations to me were addressed to “Roland”, and signed alternately by Trump’s two sons and himself.

The Trumps started with a call “to save America from crooked Hillary Clinton” by asking prospective supporters to donate a dollar each, to be matched by Donald Trump’s own counterpart share. As the solicited sums increased through the weeks, the donors (including myself) were eventually tapped each for a million dollars when Trump’s convention victory was rapturously hailed by his own camp.

I don’t have the faintest idea on their latest kitty total, but it’s likely a figure in seven or eight digits swelled up by big business alone. And they must have figured, like panhandlers do, that countless other faceless one-dollar “Rolands” could make a substantial collective difference.

Anyway, I naughtily replied to their fourth e-mail that, because they changed my name from Ronald to Roland, I wasn’t interested. I also added that I was not an American but an Ilocano, factually and figuratively. “And so, Mr. Trump,” I quipped, “with blunders over such minor details, I cannot see how you can convince America that you can lead as her president. Goodbye.” Receiving no reply, I then realized I was dealing with a machine…he he!

Assassination?
Bennet is emphatic: “They will kill him before they let him (become) president. It could be a Republican or a Democrat that (will instigate) the shutting up of Trump. Do not be surprised if Trump has an accident. Some people are getting very nervous: Barack Obama, Valerie Jarrett, Eric Holder, Hillary Clinton and Jon Corzine, to name a few.

“It’s about the unholy dynamics between big government, big business, and big media. They all benefit by the billions of dollars from this partnership, and it’s all in their interests to protect one another. It’s all for one and one for all. It’s a heck of a filthy relationship that makes everyone filthy rich, everyone except the American people.

“We get ripped off. We are the patsies. But for once, the powerful socialist cabal and the corrupt socialist capitalists are scared. The over-the-top reaction to Trump — by politicians of both parties, the media and the biggest corporations of America — has been so swift and insanely angry that it suggests they are all threatened and scared.”

A billionaire swindler?
“Donald Trump can self-fund. No matter what they say to the contrary, the media, business, and political elite understand that Trump is no joke. He could actually upset their nice cozy apple cart.

“It’s no coincidence that everyone has gotten together to destroy (Trump). It’s because most of the other politicians are part of the good old boys club. They talk big, but they won’t change a thing. They’re all beholden to big-money donors. They’re all owned by lobbyists, unions, lawyers, gigantic environmental organizations and multinational organizations — like Big Pharmacy or Big Oil.

“Or they are owned lock, stock and barrel by foreigners like George Soros owns Obama, or foreign governments own Hillary and their Clinton Foundation donations.”

Trump nobody’s borrower?
“These run-of-the-mill establishment politicians are all puppets owned by big money. But there is one man who isn’t beholden to anyone. There is one man who doesn’t need foreigners, or foreign governments, or George Soros, or the United Arab Workers, or the Teachers’ Union, or the Service Employees International Union, or the Bar Association to fund his campaign.

“Billionaire-tycoon and maverick Donald Trump doesn’t need anyone’s help. That means he does not care what the media says. He does not care what the corporate elite think. That makes him very dangerous to the entrenched interests. That makes Trump a huge threat to those people. Trump can ruin everything for the bribed politicians and their spoiled slave masters.”

Is Donald Trump a wheeler-dealer who begged Roland Roy for a dollar?! Or are these solicitations the work of unknown scammers?
